Airport Extreme / Time Capsule
Please follow these instructions to configure an Apple Airport / Time Capsule router to work with PhonePower. These instructions are only if you are connecting your phone adapter in the alternate configuration.
- You will need the current IP address of your phone adapter.
- If you have a Grandstream phone adapter please refer to How to receive the current WAN IP Address on a Grandstream.
- If you have an Innomedia phone adapter please refer to How to receive the current WAN IP Address on an Innomedia.
- If you have an Obihai phone adapter please refer to How to receive the current WAN IP Address on an Obihai.
- Please write this IP Address down as you will need it in later steps
• Open your Utilities folder. From finder click the GO menu and then click Utilities.
• Once in your Utilities folder, double click on AirPort Utility.
• Select your Apple AirPort from the listed devices. If you have set a password for your AirPort there will be a button Enter Password. Click that button and enter the password for your AirPort press enter.
• Once you have entered that password your AirPort will now display some details about itself such as the network name, the IP address and the connected wireless clients. Under where it lists wireless clients, click Edit.
• Once you click Edit you will be presented with the configuration screen for your AirPort. It will open to the Base Station tab.
• Click the Network tab toward the top of the window to enter the network settings screen.
• In the Network screen there is a section for Port Settings Under that section is a + button. Click the + button.
After you click the + you will be given an area to enter some information. Enter the info as defined in the text below. You will create three unique port mappings.
The first mapping will use the ports below
• Public UDP Ports: 5000-5080
• Private IP Address: IP Address of Phone Power Adapter
• Private UDP Ports: 5060-5064
The second mapping will use the ports below
• Public UDP Ports: 10000-11000
• Private IP Address: IP Address of Phone Power Adapter
• Private UDP Ports: 10000-11000
The third mapping will use the ports below.
• Public UDP Ports: 12060-12080
• Private IP Address: IP Address of Phone Power Adapter
• Private UDP Ports: 12060-12080
• After you have entered that information please click Save, which will return you to the Network section of the AirPort Utility.
• Now you will just need to update these settings in your AirPort. You can do this by clicking the Update button in the lower right hand corner of the window.
