How to Factory Reset the Grandstream HT 502
To factory reset the Grandstream HT502 you will not need to disconnect the power or ethernet connections for the device.
First locate the reset button on the back of the device. The Factory Reset button is recessed in the hole.
• Hold the recessed reset button down using something that is solid but small in diameter like a paperclip or push pin. Continue holding the button down.
• While holding the button down please note the lights on the front of the device.
- After approximately 8 seconds all of the lights except the power light will go out.
•Once that occurs release the reset button.
When a device has been factory reset it may need to go through an upgrade process. During this process you should see the WAN & LAN lights on the front of the device flash in unison. Do not attempt to power cycle or reboot the device during this process as it can cause the upgrade to fail.
The entire process shouldn’t take more than 10-15 minutes. Once it has completed the device should reconnect to the service and you should be able to place a phone call.
