How to Use the Phone Power Zippyphone USB Travel Adapter
- Congratulations on purchasing your new Digital Voice Service and USB Travel Adapter from Phone Power. Your USB Travel Adapter that will provide you with phone service via your computer. Inside the pamphlet that came with your device are instructions on how to set it up.

First:
• Turn on your computer and plug the USB connector of the Travel Adapter into the USB port on your computer.
• When you plug in the Travel Adapter, your computer will display the New Hardware Wizard on your PC screen; click Yes to install the New Hardware Wizard to completely install all devices for the Travel Adapter.
• Click Next until all devices are installed, then click Finish, and follow the prompt to restart your computer.
Once the USB Travel Adapter is finished setting up, the Phone Power Softphone application will automatically run on your computer. Make sure you either have a headset or landline phone plugged into the Travel Adapter.
• Log into the Softphone with your current Phone Power username and password.
• Once you successfully log in, the Softphone is ready for use. Now simply dial a number with the Softphone keypad and click the call button.
You can use either a headset or a standard telephone with this USB adapter.
• If a headset is used, please connect the headset to the audio port provided on the USB adapter.
• If a standard telephone is used, please connect the phone to the phone port on the USB adapter.
- Note: You can have both a telephone and a headset connected to the Zippy Phone USB Travel Adapter at the same time, though only the telephone or the headset will function during a phone call, you can not use both at the same time. The USB Travel Adapter must be plugged into your computer every time you start a new session with your Phone Power Softphone. The USB Travel Adapter is not compatible with Apple® or Linux® operating systems.
- Please remember that your telephone service will not function in the event of a broadband or power outage or if your broadband, Internet Service Provider (ISP), or Phone Power phone service is terminated. Following a power failure or disruption, you may need to reset the device prior to utilizing the service, including 911 dialing. You should inform all household or business residents, guests and other third parties who may be present at the physical location where you utilize the service, of these important differences and limitations.
