Managing Email Notifications For Voicemail/Fax
To manage the Fax and VoiceMail Notifications sent to your Email, please follow these instructions
• First, log into your MyAccount.
• Click on Service Settings on the left menu bar.
• Click on VoiceMail Settings link.
• Enter an email address into the open field
• Click the Add Email button.
• The email address you added will appear in the list.
• You can add multiple email addresses by repeating the above steps to add them to the list.
• You can delete unwanted email addresses from the list by clicking the Delete button to the right of the email address.
• Make sure to check the box Forward all voicemails and faxes as emails.
• If you want to keep a copy of the forwarded voicemails and faxes in your voicemail box in the Account Portal as well as receiving them in your email, then check the box Leave a copy of the forwarded voicemails and faxes in the mailbox.
• After you have made all the changes you want to your notification settings be sure to click the Update Notification Settings button to save your changes."
How The Two Notification Option Functions Work
• The first option will send an Email Notification to the email address inputted notifying you that you have received a message to the Phone Power VoiceMail system.
• The second option will send an Email Notification to the email address inputted notifying you that you have received a message to the Phone Power VoiceMail system and will also include the VoiceMail and/or Fax as an attachment to the email.
• Both options can be used simultaneously or separately. If both options are enabled to the same email address, then 2 emails will be sent upon new message being received by the Phone Power VoiceMail system. One email will contain the Notification, the other email will include the Notification and the Attachment.
Note : You can not check the faxes by calling into the VoiceMail system using a telephone to check your messages. Any fax received by the VoiceMail system will only be accessible on the VoiceMail section of the My Account page. If you have Email Notifications enabled, you will still have to log into the VoiceMail section of My Account to delete those messages, deleting a message from your email folder does not delete the message from the VoiceMail system.
