Westell 9100

Please follow these instructions to configure your Westell 9100 router to work with PhonePower. These instructions are only if you are connecting your phone adapter to your router.





  • Open a web browser
  • Enter http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press enter
  • Log into the router. You will be prompted for a username and password.
  • The default username is admin
  • The default password is password

• Click on Firewall Settings.
• Click on Yes to continue.
• Click on Port Forwarding in the left menu bar.

• Click New Entry at the bottom of the local host column to add a new port forwarding rule or service.

• Enter the IP address of your phone adapter you received in the first step of this process.

• Select User Defined from the pull down menu.

• Enter a service name for the port forwarding service. You can use any name, though we recommend you call it Phone Power.
• Click on New Server Ports.

• Select UDP from the protocols pull down list.

• Select Range in the source ports pull down list.

• Enter 5004 in the first range field, then enter 5012 in the second range field.

• Select Range for the destination ports and again enter 5004 and 5012 in the port number field.
• Now you should see your newly created rule. Click the New Server Ports button to make another rule.

• As before, select Range in the source ports pull down list.
• Enter 5060 in the first range field, then enter 5061 in the second range field.
• Select Range for the destination ports and enter 5060 and 5061 in the port number field.
• Click the OK button to complete the port forwarding rule.

• As before, select Range in the source ports pull down list.
• Enter 12060 in the first range field, then enter 12061 in the second range field.
• Select Range for the destination ports and enter 12060 and 12061 in the port number field.
• Click the OK button to complete the port forwarding rule.

• Create a new port forwarding rule
• Select TCP as the protocol
• Select Single in the source ports pull down list.
• Enter 4200 in the port field
• Select Single for the destination port and enter 4200 in the port number field.
• Click the OK button to complete the port forwarding rule.




• Click the OK button again to complete the rule setup.
• You should now see the new rule in your list of rules if you completed the setup correctly.



Note: If you are unable to place a call after 15 minutes, or any other irregularities appear, please contact our support department for additional assistance.
