CPBX-Installing the CPBX Softphone

To download the softphone from the Cloud PBX portal please follow these instructions.

  • NOTE: This will require a User level login on your Cloud PBX. For more information on creating a User level login for your Cloud PBX, click here

• Log into the portal with User level username and password here

• Click on Download Soft Phone under the Mobile Apps section of the page.

• For Windows users the file softphoneinstaller.exe will download in a manner consistent with your browser.

Note the location of where the file is downloaded.

• Locate and double click softphoneinstaller.exe to run the installation program.



• For Mac users the file softphoneinstaller.dmg will download in a manner consistent with your browser.

Note the location of where the file is downloaded.

• Locate and double click softphoneinstaller.dmg to open the Disk Image.

• Double click the Phonepower.pkg to begin the installation process. You will need Administrator Privlages on your computer to install it.

• Load the softphone and login with the User level username and password, as above.

The Softphone should reflect the extension the user is assigned to, and calls to and from the softphone will be the same as if they were from the assigned extension.
